Delicious Rejuvenating Detox Drink for You!
Look no further! Today I’m going to show you an easy recipe for a delightfully delicious and rejuvenating detox drink.
Happy Thursday Friends!
Today I am sharing a refreshing drink that helps detox your system. Not only is it really tasty, it’s good for you too! Awesome, I know 🙂
Do you remember my first Healthy Tips post when I shared the benefits of drinking water?
Delicious Rejuvenating Detox Drink for You!
In that post, I gave some ideas for making water more fun to drink by adding fruit, herbs, or sugar free drink mixes. So, I decided to take my own advice and actually make a detox water to share with you.
Ingredients you’ll need to make this rejuvenating detox drink:
- ice water
- watermelon
- lemons
- mint
Make sure you use ice water! Not only is it a more refreshing taste, cold water helps speed up your metabolism. Simply add the watermelon, lemon, and a few mint leaves to the ice water. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes and then drink.
Doesn’t this look like the perfect drink to have handy all summer? If you prefer other fruit, try it and see what you like best! Strawberries, oranges, and limes are all good in water too. I kept adding more ice water to this same pitcher for a couple of days and then just started over with fresh fruit and mint. I know that I will be carrying around this water on every hot day!
Do you have any special waters that you have created or that are your favorite? I would love to hear your ideas!
Keep Calm and Cook On,
This looks so fresh and delish and perfect for summer! thanks for the recipe! Pinning!
Thank you Misty!! It is absolutely perfect for summer and it is a bit addicting, I will admit!
Looks great, can’t wait to try it!! Thanks for sharing.
Cheryl,
Thank you! It is delicious, I just keep a pitcher in my fridge and switch out the fruit every couple of days! I hope you like it 🙂
Ha! My favorite water is filled with frozen fruit. I am not so sure how good it would be for detoxing but I am sure you would love it…LOL. When we make sangria with white wine I load it up with berries, lemons, limes, oranges, and mint. When the sangria is gone, freeze the fruit, then you add the wine soaked frozen berries to your glass of water, yum! So, although it is delish the left over wine may not make it the best detox! LOL
Nikki,
You are always making me laugh!! I love your idea for frozen wine berries, YUM and FUN!! I should have frozen the fruit and re-used it, I felt bad when I didn’t eat it all, but the watermelon was super soaked with lemon flavor and it was too much acidity for me to eat it all at that moment. Freezing .. duh!!! And it’s ok to have some water that’s not for detoxing, we all need to live a little! 🙂
