How to Make Your Home Sparkle with Black Interior Doors
Awaken your boring interior doors with a gorgeous pop of glossy black paint. You will be absolutely amazed how fantastic your new black interior doors look
I say it all the time, but I am still always amazed at the power of a little bit of paint. Take for instance, my interior doors in my home. They’re the typical hollow, plain-jane, standard white doors that you can find in numerous homes.
Originally I wanted to add a little bit of lace and frills to all of the doors, but you know me, that’s not me at all!
So, I figured I would just use picture frames or add a little bit of plywood or something close to this nature to enhance the appearance of these doors along with a little bit of black paint.
Here’s what Ava’s door started off looking like on the far left.
Then, the middle is our guest bathroom.
And at the very end of the hallway is my current studio.

So, I got started on my little project with the help of a black semi-gloss paint (I believe mine is the Walmart brand), and was amazed just with the difference the color made!
Honestly, I had no idea it would really make this big of a difference. I’m still blown away with the small amount of effort I made with the results of these now gorgeous black interior doors!
And doesn’t my new linen closet look amazing next to these doors? Everything just “pops” out even more! If you haven’t seen my linen closet remodel definitely hop on over there to check it out. It’s an absolute game changer!
How to Make Your Home Sparkle with Black Interior Doors
I know you’re probably thinking that you don’t have a lot of time to do projects around the house, but seriously, this project took me an hour. ONE HOUR. That’s three doors, and two of them were both sides.
SIDE NOTE: I had to appease little Miss Ava because apparently this paint job was not one of her favorite ideas. I told her that she could keep her white door on the inside if I could paint the outside. Toddlers. 😉
Hope you have a most wonderful Memorial Day!
