Hey friends,

I have been on vacation for a few weeks and have missed you! But, I am back now and will be here sharing new recipes with you a couple of times a month. Today, we are making grape breakfast sausage … are you ready?! Growing up, my Dad always made this breakfast for me and my friends. Have you noticed a few of my recipes come from my family? That’s what cooking is all about, sharing great food and memories with family and friends  :) For this breakfast, you need smoked sausage, get pork or turkey, whatever you like! I try to find smoked sausage with a very thin casing or no casing because it will absorb the grape jelly/mustard mixture better. Ok, let’s get started!

Ingredients:

  • Smoked sausage
  • Grape jelly
  • Mustard
  • Eggs
  • Cheese
  • Butter
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh fruit

Cut the sausage into 2-3 inch pieces and slice each piece down the middle, but leaving it connected. Add the grape jelly and mustard to a skillet and turn it on medium.

Lay the sausage with the casing side up into the grape jelly/mustard mixture and let it come to a slight boil. You do have to watch the temperature because the jelly can turn too thick and sticky. Turn the sausage to infuse both sides. I usually let the sausage simmer for about 15 minutes total.

While you are waiting, make some eggs, pancakes, waffles, whatever you like. I always cut up fresh fruit; it is a perfect pairing with the sweet sausage. Also, when I make scrambled eggs, I add lots of cheese, butter, and salt and pepper … best eggs you will ever eat!!

Doesn’t this looks scrumptious? You can make it just for yourself or share with family and friends!

Instagram post 2144015539319934467_182012641 A new app (for drawing and painting enthusiasts) called Adobe Fresco was just released, and I decided to give it a whirl. Let me just start off by saying that I'm a huge Procreate fan, but this app is absolutely amazing!! Its live watercolor brush feature is stunning. Anyways, long story short, I decided to do a 30 Day Challenge so I can learn this app inside and out. Now, with this color scheme it looks fantastic as a bedspread!
