Lantern Makeover

I always take before pics.

No… really! I honestly do. I’m actually very adamant about taking some sort of photo to ensure that I (you!) can see how much it has changed after I get my grubby little hands on it. It doesn’t matter if it’s a horrible shot with my cell phone, or when it’s hidden in a pile of trash. I just have to get that most-essential before pic.

However, I apparently did not with this project.

Can you believe it? I was thumbing through my camera’s disc, and suddenly realized that I must not have taken pics.

Ugh.

Have you ever had that happen to you before? It’s the worse feeling isn’t it? I felt sick to my stomach, and immediately had a minor meltdown. As in… I wondered if I should break out the ol’ bottle of Grey Goose, and chug-a-lug a few shots to drown my sorrows in my disappointing mistake.

But then I remembered that ever since I turned 26 (quite a few moons ago…) my hangovers have turned into two days of pain and suffering, and quickly decided that a steaming cup of tea with some yummy local honey would do the trick. Ohhhhh how the times have changed ;)

Meanwhile, I was very thankful that everyone in my household was currently in bed at that very moment so the whole showing off my “true crazy” was avoided.

Nonetheless… I really wanted to show you how paint is definitely on my top 5 list of best friends. I just can’t get enough of it!

Ok, ok. That’s a lie. I really just wanted to show off a little bit of a teaser of my dresser makeover….!?!

That little beauty will be revealed tomorrow, and I’ll tell you what, it is beyond what I had originally planned.

It’s better! See you tomorrow :)

It looks wonderful. I get how you feel about not remembering to do something, but sometimes it’s just not worth stressing over.

So true! I almost didn’t do the post at all because I was so upset, and then realized… oh whatever. It happens. I’ll write about it, and then move on. One of the perks of being a blogger, right?!

Love your lanterns, they are beautiful! I know how you feel about forgetting to take your before pictures, I’m getting better but I use to forget the before shots all the time.

It is most definitely annoying, but we’re getting better, right?! Slowly, but surely ;)

Instagram post 2144015539319934467_182012641 A new app (for drawing and painting enthusiasts) called Adobe Fresco was just released, and I decided to give it a whirl. Let me just start off by saying that I'm a huge Procreate fan, but this app is absolutely amazing!! Its live watercolor brush feature is stunning. Anyways, long story short, I decided to do a 30 Day Challenge so I can learn this app inside and out.
