Beach Inspired Home Decor

Summer is finally, finally here and all I can think about is the beach and having a good time with friends and family. The beach has so many great things to offer, and it was the inspiration behind some of my new signs. Close your eyes and think about what comes to mind when you think of the beach.

    Salty air.

    Fun in the sun.

    Dolphins and sharks – though I want a dolphin encounter more than a shark one!

    Beautiful white sand.

    Clear blue water.

    This collection makes me so happy as it brings a little bit of the beach into the home even when I can’t go. All of the things I listed above gave me a spark of inspiration to create these!

    {Mermaid Wood Sign}

    Maybe there are mermaids deep down there…or maybe I’ve just watched too many princess movies with Ava! Either way, I loved making this handmade wood mermaid sign for a kid’s bedroom or fireplace mantle. It’s a bit of mermaid magic for a room.

    {Don’t Feed Wood Sign}

    I love this playful sign because it can be for anything that you shouldn’t feed…the dog, the alligator, the shark, maybe your husband, ha! It’s made for the front or back yard and has a bite taken out of it.

    {Fresh Crabs and Anchor Wood Sign Set}

    Feeling a bit crabby? Crabs for lunch and dinner inspired this playful sign with a silhouette of a crab. I love the pop of color it adds, especially when grouped with neutrals.

    {Shark Wood Sign}

    Just when you thought it was safe to go in the house… there’s a shark sign! I wanted to capture the mystique and awe-inducing power of the shark here.

    {Anchor Wood Sign}

     Best days are boat days, and I wanted to remind myself of the beach even in the dull days of winter. I’ll put this sign up on my gallery wall in the winter, but in the summer, it will be front and center on my mantle.

    There are more beach-themed items in my shop, and if you want to see all of them, just follow the link below! I hope they make a splash in your home! 🙂

I've been using a lot of warm tones as much as I can. I tend to be a very cold-natured person so during the winter months, I do my very best to think all things summer to get me through! Plus, doesn't this seahorse just look so warm and toasty in its environment?

We've had a lot of cold days this winter in NC (not super typical) so I figured the use of warm colors on these butterflies would be the most ideal fit! Hope you're staying warm and cozy ❤
