Do you know what surprised me the most about our chickens? Their food likes and dislikes. For instance, they absolutely loveeeee watermelon. They just can't get enough of it! With that being said, it kind of makes me want to decorate their coop (you know, when I inevitably redecorate in a year) with a watermelon theme. Note to self... don't forget!

Believe it or not, I'm a fall-kind-of-color girl without a doubt! For instance, my two favorite colors to paint with are from @winsorandnewton: Sap Green and Indigo, but my all-time favorite magenta color is Alizarin Crimson from Academy. I could literally paint with these three colors for the rest of my life and be as happy as a clam! ⁣

I love these little flowers so much, but when I scanned them in to create my "Lemonade Wildflowers" design and pattern I wasn't too thrilled with how dull the green looked. In-person, the green is sweet and a gorgeous shade of olive, but unfortunately, it just didn't work. So, I recreated the entire piece digitally in Procreate, and brought in the stunning and vibrant shades of green, yellow, and orange that you see today within this design. ⁣

Sometimes it's nice to create a piece without a lot of texture and colors. This sweet, little bird was something I designed a while back, but I sure love how it came together!⁣

It started off as a sketch, and then was transferred onto my iPad and finished in Procreate.

Do you recognize this pattern?! Let me give you a hint... I originally used it to create faux tiles on my fireplace. Ok, ok. That wasn't much of a hint, but do you remember now?! For this gorgeous shower curtain design, I just flipped the colors so the tulips are now in white instead of the background.⁣

Now I just need to convince my daughter to let me redo her bathroom so I can hang one up. LOL.
