Favorite Things: Palm and Banana Leaf Prints
I like to follow trends to an extent.
You know, when it fits my own my personal style. Not because I feel like I need to fit in. No more high school drama for me thank you very much!
Right now, palm and banana leaf prints are all the “rage”, and I have to admit that I am totally onboard for these gorgeous patterns of the moment.
I bet you’re wondering how I kept up with the particular design, aren’t ya?
Well, to be honest. I like the colors in my home to feel calm, peaceful, and overall comforting, and even though this pattern isn’t the typical green it still achieved the desired affect I was looking for.
Plus, there’s just something about tropical leaves that make me feel like I’m on a vacation. Don’t you think?
So, of course, why wouldn’t you want to add a few of these beauties into your home, right?!
And since I’m a research-aholic I decided to make it easy for you. Lots of XOXO’s and are being sent your way! ;)
Here are a few of my faves that I’ve found around that good ol’ thing we call the Internet.
On a side note… can you believe we ever lived without it?! I definitely do not miss the card catalog days. No ma’am!

Ok, ok. I realize this is a tad bit pricey… at least for my own wallet! However, isn’t gorgeous?!
I most definitely want to create a DIY version for my back porch. Sigh.
One day, one day.
I can’t help swooning over this simple beauty.
Not to mention, it’s also an instant download on Etsy. Score! You can make this gem any size you want. I heart technology.
I do believe that the biggest appeal for me with this particular wallpaper is how they arranged theses vintage and wood picture frames on top of it. I love the simplicity of it all, and I could totally picture my own reclaimed barn wood table fitting in just perfectly. . . droolingggg.
While it’s not a print–obviously–you just can’t go wrong with getting the real thing! I wish I had about a hundred of these in my house.
Love the style, but not ready to commit to something permanent? Then it’s all about the pillows, baby! Then, all you need to do next season is add a different pillow cover on top of it.
A little bedding here….
A little shower curtain there…
Typically I wouldn’t think of palm prints in the nursery, but holy moly there are so many positives that I just love about this combination! A little coral, a little rustic, a little bling, and a whole lot of eye candy goodness.
I can’t help but wonder if I can convince my super opinionated four year old (aka. Miss Ava) to try something similar. Hmm…. cross your fingers for me, will ya?
She’s currently on a red kick. Ugh. Go figure. My least favorite color in the rainbow.
Anybody now craving a tropical vacation, or doing a rain dance for summer to come a little quicker?!
Count me in!
