Let me introduce you to my new besties! First up is Sawyer the Shark (don’t worry, he only snacks on newspapers). Then there’s Willow the Whale, who’s basically the gentle giant of the group. Otto the Octopus is our resident multi-tasker (eight arms = endless high fives!), and last but definitely not least, there’s Sebby the Seahorse, the most dapper dude in the deep blue!
The Making of Marine Magic
So here’s the tea – this ocean pattern design collection started with me literally surrounded by paper chaos! Picture this: newspapers everywhere, paint-splattered papers in the most amazing reds, oranges, yellows, and blues, and me, armed with scissors and a vision. I went full art-ninja mode, cutting and arranging until these sea sweeties came to life!
From Crafty Collages to Digital Dreams
But wait, there’s more! After giving these paper pals life in the physical world, I took them on a digital adventure. First stop: Procreate (where they got their glow-up), and then straight to Adobe Illustrator for some pattern-making magic. Not to brag, but these ocean pattern design repeats are smoother than a dolphin’s dance moves!
