Back to School Time

It’s back to school time! Are you ready?

Have you been skipping down the aisles of your local supermarket throwing random art supplies and tissue boxes into your cart? Singing at the top of your lungs while your kids turn various shades of red?

No? Only my mom did that? Wasn’t I one lucky duck!

Now, even though Miss Ava hasn’t started going to her “big school” yet I have to admit I am looking forward to it. Don’t get me wrong, I love my child. She is the best little thing around since I figured out that chocolate cures everything.

However, I do believe that child is already smarter than me. She’s either going to be an astronaut when she grows up or one of those reality tv stars that enjoys playing in the mud. It’s a toss-up.

I’m crossing my fingers for the mud.

    DIY Homemade Air Freshener

With that being said, our household consistently needs a regular dose of air freshener. I blame my husband and the dogs, but every once in a while it’s my own fault. Especially after I’ve worked out.

    Supplies Needed

I used to be embarrassed about it, but now I have the answer for those yucky and smelly clothes when you can’t get to a washer quick enough. All you need for this gym bag spray is:

    • 1 spray bottle
    • water
    • 8 drops of lemon essential oil
    • 8 drops of lavender essential oil
    • 8 drops of peppermint essential oil

You shake it all together and you do the hokey pokey, and that’s what it’s all about it! Left foot now!

    How to Use It

But seriously, it’s amazing. You don’t even have to use it just for your gym bag. I use it on my dogs (not joking), on the living room furniture, and pretty much anywhere and everywhere that smells a little funky to me.

Plus, I even designed a cute little label for you!

Now, go on. Get your spray on!

How to Make Homemade Gym Bag Spray

So, how do you get peppermint, lemon, and/or lavender essential oil? You can order it through any Young Living Essential Oil page, organic health store, or wherever you feel most comfortable purchasing oils from. Just make sure they have 100% natural and pure. Not only have I been using these products on myself, but my daughter, husband, and the dogs.

I’m really not joking when I say that these products have been a lifesaver. Love them!

Lastly, please remember that not all essential oils are created equally. Sure, you might be able to find a better price at Walmart, but I’ll bet ya dollars to donuts that it isn’t pure and probably won’t work either!

    Happy Friday,

LOL. Right?! That’s a great idea, Ananda! Herbs and essential oils would definitely make some powerful and yummy aromas as well as cleaning supplies and the like. I’ll definitely keep this in mind for the future 😉
