Coal Black End Table for the Front Porch
Sometimes all you need is a little bit of paint to completely switch up your space. For example, my new black end table for my front porch.
Even though I find myself constantly creating new DIY projects for myself and my husband all the time I’ve noticed that it usually comes in spurts. For instance, a week or two ago I finally figured out how to “fix” Miss Ava’s Pepto-Bismal Pink bedroom into a refreshing and spunky blend of aqua, pink, and wintery white.
After that triumphant win (mom-1, Ava-like 1,234 or something ridiculous) I then found myself excited to keep the ball rolling.
And since I always seem have a list of “to do’s” at least a mile long on any given day (until I figure out how to clone myself I’ll probably never actually get it finished) it was actually super easy to keep my momentum going.
Not to mention, I had a lovely little assistance who was more than eager to help paint her own chairs while I painted this end table on the front porch.
Fall is definitely coming, and this baby was in dire need of a good ol’ fashioned update for sure!

I’m still amazed that she actually wanted to help paint these chairs.
I just love seeing her come out of her artistic shell to try something new and different!
Anyways, I of course used my all-time favorite brand of paint (Fusion Mineral Paint) in Coal Black.
I always only need two coats, and it dries so fast!! Seriously, I cannot rave enough about this paint. I seriously use it on just about anything you can possibly think of. Think toolboxes, dressers, bed frames, and countless other items!
Now, don’t get me wrong. I love this simple black and white combo. However, you know me.
I need a little bit of color to make this baby shine!
Hopefully next week (if I can find some pumpkins daggit!) I will have a completely fall front porch worthy of my typical style. I’m actually really excited to show you this season’s decor. It’s a little bit of vintage, a little bit of modern, and a whole lot of harvest-y goodness 😉
Happy Thursday!
