If we haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet, I’m Kristi, the gal behind Making it in the Mountains where I blog about our journey to transform our first fixer-upper.

I’m so excited to be here today guest posting for one of my fave new (to me) blogs! I first discovered The Summery Umbrella on Instagram a few months ago and instantly fell in love with her beautiful photos, which always had me hopping over to check out her latest. So, when LZ suggested swapping posts with one another, how could I resist?!

With our crisp & cool mornings, trees overflowing with apples and who could forget back-to-school shopping, there’s no mistaking that Fall is on it’s way. And I, my friends, couldn’t be happier! In honour of my very favorite time of year, I’m so happy to be sharing The Most Perfect Apple Sangria just in time for Fall!

Ingredients:
1 bottle of your fave Moscato wine
2-3 apples, thinly sliced (julienne one as a garnish)
1/4 cup of apple juice
1/2 cup of sparkling water
1 tsp vanilla extract
a few raspberries for garnish
*If you’re whipping up a double batch, try switching out one bottle of Moscato for a bottle of Riesling for even more depth of flavour!*

Method:
Throw your sliced apples into the bottom of your pitcher, then empty your wine bottle on top of them. Gently mix in the apple juice, sparkling water and vanilla. Let stand in the fridge until needed.

To serve:
Throw a few raspberries and some julienned apples into the bottom of each glass then, after another quick stir, simply fill the glass with your yummy Apple Sangria and enjoy!

Not only is this Apple Sangria delish, but it’s super easy to make! And, because it only gets better with time, you can make it one or two days ahead of time to allow the flavours to build. I actually mixed mine in a big mason jar to make storing it in the fridge even easier.
